| RailNutterNews joined forces with TrainFans for a super weekend chasing trains in the hills of West Virginia, VA, and MD. As the glorious harmonic horn of the Genesis loco echoed off the West Virginia hills at dusk, the Capitol Limited roared through the Harpers Ferry Tunnel and across the rail bridge over the confluence of the Potomac and Shenandoah rivers. It was a magnificent close to a great day of railfanning. The day began with biscuits and gravy at dawn in Va. We followed the countryside tracks with country crooners kickin' on the CD, the scanner crackling, the breath of new moan hay filling our nostrils, and track thunder blessing our ears. |
